I’m not going to paint all Browns fans with a broad brush, but for the ones who qualify, listen up; If you cheered Derek Anderson’s season-ending knee injury, not only should you have your ticket revoked, but you also need your head examined.

I’m sorry, this is completely inexcuseable. Regardless of what you think about DA’s talents, to cheer when he is lying on the ground in pain is despicable. This came up once before with you - when you cheered Tim Couch’s concussion against Baltimore a few years back. It was sickening then, and its worse now.

Do you remember that it was Anderson who saved the season last year, threw 29 TD’s and led the team to 10 wins on his way to a Pro Bowl less than a year ago? I don’t care that they guy has played like hot garbage this year, that doesn’t give you the right to cheer when he gets hurt.

Do you forget that while everyone was calling for Brady Quinn to replace him while played poorly, he never once threw his teammates under the bus when he easily could have (I’m talking to you Braylon Edwards)? Is it lost on you that once he was benched, he took it like a man, told the media he was behind Brady and he would stay ready? Must be. Derek Anderson showed nothing but class when he could have easily spouted off.

He deserves better than what you people are giving him.

Spare me the “I paid for my ticket, I can boo or cheer anyone I want.” No you can’t. You are excited by one of your own receiving bodily harm because he isn’t performing the way you want him to. Are you really that jacked for Ken Dorsey? You think DA has looked bad this season, just wait until you see this offense with a weak-armed, zero mobilitied QB who has hung around because he is Brady Quinn’s caddy.  

As for the man himself, he heard the cheers. And good for him for talking about it after the game:

“They were cheering the fact that I was hurt. They don’t like me. That’s well known.”

I like you DA as a person. As a QB, you are not the guy. But you deserve much better than this. And to you Browns fans who cheer when one of your own gets hurt, you are trash, pure and simple.
